Flat bottle forms are constructed from earthenware using a slab building technique. Once bisque fired, interiors are glazed and images drawn with a glaze pen. The remaining surface is hand glazed. Some pieces also incorporate a technique called sgraffito, where leather hard clay is coated in underglaze and carved. They are whimsical and playful, and can also be special ordered.
Bowls are hand built, left to dry to a leather hard state. Imagery is created using a combination of sgraffito and mishima techniques. After firing, bowls are fully coated in clear glaze. Fun and playful, they are ideal for holding snacks for social gatherings.
